Omnitrans is the public transit agency serving the San Bernardino Valley, providing safe, reliable, affordable, friendly and environmentally responsible transportation. Omnitrans currently operates local and express bus routes, sbX bus rapid transit service, and Access, a paratransit service for the disabled.
Established in 1976 through a joint power agreement, Omnitrans carries approximately 11 million passengers each year throughout its 480-square mile service area, covering 15 cities and portions of the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. Major destinations within the Omnitrans service area include transportation centers, medical centers, educational facilities, shopping malls, business parks, and community centers.

Tremaine Mitchell
Executive Director
Tremaine Mitchell is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and social justice in San Bernardino. She is the co-founder and executive director of Youth Action Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Inland Empire youth through academic support and workforce development (LinkedIn).
Growing up in the Inland Empire, Tremaine envisions a future where all, regardless of their background, have equal access to opportunities. Her work at the Youth Action Project reflects this commitment, with programs designed to help young people develop the skills and habits necessary for economic and social success (GuideStar).
Jonathan Buffong
Program Manager
Jonathan Buffong is the Program Manager for the Pathway to Parity HRTP Initiative at Youth Action Project (YAP). Previously, Jonathan served as a Mental Health Education Consultant at the SB County Behavioral Health Department. Actively involved in various coalitions and community groups, Jonathan co-founded National Black Grads, an organization that honors graduating Black High School Seniors by providing scholarships and connections to college and career pathways.
