CARDOZO TransSTEM ACADEMY OPEN HOUSE

At iyai+, we are pleased to co-host this Open House.  A trailblazer, outstanding educational partner, and the site for our “first” infrastructure career awareness program in 2019, Cardozo’s TransSTEM Academy (formerly Trans Tech) Academy was established in 1991 as the first transportation studies academy in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Meet and hear from TransSTEM Academy Director, Cheryl Rodgers, students, faculty, and alumni about their journey, progress to date – and exciting plans for the future.

The Academy was funded during the Clinton Administration through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) under Secretary Rodney Slater.  A trailblazer and innovator – Cardozo’s TransSTEM Academy continues today as a 30+ year example of successfully creating educational and social experiences that provide an equitable and rigorous education for all students.
